Graphic and Illustrative Designer

I am Andrea Malley.
I am a Graphic and Illustrative Designer.
I am a recent graduate of CDI College where I learned digital graphic design.
I am also a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design where I learned traditional printing and pattern design.
I am able to see my art in layers. In levels. Colours. Patterns. Designs. Then I curate the levels. A comfortable build and creative narrative.
I am and always have been influenced by amazing artists and the works that have lasted centuries. Henri Matisse. William Morris. Alphonse Mucha. Leonardo DaVinici. Andy Warhol. Japanese Woodblock art. The Arts and Crafts, Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements. These artists, cultures and movements have helped me on the road to building my technique, my style, and my insight.
I am a story teller. Stories connect us. Our stories help us understand each other visually or literally. Designing helps me tell your story. Together we will build stronger and greater connections.
Posters

I am a creator of posters. Posters for promotion of product, events or ideas. I enjoy the space that posters take up in our society. Such an amazing way to reach a wide spread audience. The combination of text and graphics is endless, allowing us the depth to tell the right story.
Booklets, Brochures and Print

I am as much of a consumer as I am a designer. I have learned many things about good design by relating to the tools that have been made for the public to consume. Booklets, brochures and print are tools that are forever changing, and will change even more, now I create them.
Logos

I am a strong believer in telling the right story. Symbols, emblems, colours, textures and type can be put together in a simple but concise way to transform how people recognize or identify you and your brand. A logo is the beginning of the bigger story, the brand and the things to come.
